What PunchIn does
PunchIn is an attendance tracking tool for small businesses. It allows employees to clock in and out using a mobile number and PIN, and allows employers to manage staff records and download attendance reports.
Employer responsibilities
As an employer using PunchIn, you agree to:
- Provide accurate information when registering your business
- Inform your employees that their attendance is being recorded
- Use attendance data only for legitimate employment purposes
- Keep your login credentials secure and not share them
- Not exceed the employee limit applicable to your plan
Employee use
Employees may only use PunchIn to record their own attendance. Using another person's mobile number or PIN, or attempting to falsify attendance records, is strictly prohibited and may result in account termination.
Acceptable use
You must not attempt to access, tamper with, or disrupt the PunchIn service or its backend systems. Automated access, scraping, or reverse engineering is not permitted.
Service availability
We aim to keep PunchIn available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We are not liable for any losses arising from downtime or data errors.
Disclaimer of liability
PunchIn is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, payrollsimple.in and its owners, operators, employees, and affiliates shall not be responsible or liable for:
- Any loss of data, revenue, profits, or business opportunities arising from use of PunchIn
- Any errors, inaccuracies, or omissions in attendance records
- Any disputes between employers and employees regarding attendance
- Any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages of any kind
- Any interruption, suspension, or termination of the service for any reason
- Any unauthorised access to your account resulting from your failure to keep credentials secure
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any loss or damage of any kind arising out of or in connection with these terms or your use of the service, whether based in contract, tort (including negligence), or otherwise..
By using PunchIn, you acknowledge that attendance tracking is a tool to assist your business processes and that you remain solely responsible for all employment decisions, payroll calculations, and compliance with applicable labour laws.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of PunchIn after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms.

What we collect
We collect the following information to provide the PunchIn service:
- Employer: name, email address, business name, and password (hashed)
- Employee: mobile number, PIN (hashed), and clock in/out timestamps
- Technical: browser type and device info for security and debugging
How we use it
- To record and display attendance data to the registered employer
- To authenticate employees at clock in/out
- To generate attendance reports for download
- To maintain the security and stability of the service
Who can see your data
Employee attendance records are visible only to the employer who registered the business on PunchIn. We do not share your data with third parties, advertisers, or any external services, except where required by law.
Data storage
All data is stored securely on Cloudflare infrastructure. Attendance records are retained for as long as the employer account remains active. Employers may delete employee records from the admin panel at any time.
Employee rights
Employees may request a copy of their attendance data or ask for its deletion by contacting their employer or reaching us at support@payrollsimple.in. We will process reasonable requests within 7 business days.
Cookies
PunchIn uses only essential session storage (no tracking cookies) to keep employers logged in. No advertising or analytics cookies are used.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy occasionally. We'll update the date at the top of this page when we do. Significant changes will be communicated to registered employers by email.
